Patan Durbar Square

Patan, also known as Lalitpur, is one of the historic cities of the Kathmandu Valley. Its Durbar Square is known for its Newar architecture, intricately carved temples, palace courtyards and traditional craftsmanship.

Pashupatinath Temple

Your guide explains Hindu beliefs, temple traditions and the significance of the Bagmati River. From designated public areas you can observe the traditional cremation ceremonies taking place along the river.

Pashupatinath is not simply a historical monument. It remains an active religious site where pilgrims, priests, families and sadhus come together as part of everyday Hindu life in Nepal.

Non-Hindus cannot enter the main Pashupatinath temple itself, but can explore the extensive surrounding complex and view the temple and cremation ghats from the public areas across the Bagmati River.

Boudhanath Stupa

Finish at Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and the spiritual center of Kathmandu’s Tibetan Buddhist community.
