Dhulikhel, located in the Kavre District, is a popular tourist destination renowned for its serene natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Visitors are captivated by the tranquil surroundings and the abundance of cultural and natural treasures.

Dhulikhel offers breathtaking panoramic views of snow capped mountains and picturesque landscapes. When a gentle blue haze envelops the lower slopes of the mountains, they appear to float in the air, creating a mesmerizing sight. Tourists and nature lovers consider Dhulikhel a true paradise. Its scenic beauty, with majestic mountains, lush green hills, and expansive open landscapes, makes it an exceptionally enchanting destination.

From various vantage points in Dhulikhel, one can witness the awe-inspiring Himalayan range, including renowned peaks such as Mt. Annapurna (8091 m), Mt. Ganesh Himal (7429 m), Mt. Langtang (7234 m), Mt. Phuribichyachu (6637 m), Mt. Gaurishanker (7134 m), Mt. Lhotse (8516 m), and many more.

Situated just 32 kilometers away, Dhulikhel can be reached by a comfortable 1.5-hour drive. Once in Dhulikhel, visitors have the option of embarking on a day hike to nearby villages or continuing towards Nagarkot, which would require approximately 5-6 hours. Dhulikhel lies along the route to Kodari, a town in Nepal that shares a border with Tibet.

It serves as a convenient stop for travelers coming from Tibet or can be accessed from Kathmandu. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we embark on a 32-kilometer drive east of Kathmandu to reach Dhulikhel. The artistic talent and urban charm of the local Newar community have shaped this place into a haven of beauty and allure. To the north, magnificent views of some of the world's highest mountains unfold. In the evening, we return to Kathmandu, concluding our memorable journey.

Meeting point: Lobby of your hotel in Kathmandu

07:30 – Pickup at Hotel, drive to Dhulikhel (32 kms, 1 hr 30 minutes)

09:00 – Arrive in Dhulikhel Local hikes and stop for lunch

17:00 – Drive back to Kathmandu (depending on your interest, hike may end at Nagarkot or back at Dhulikhel)

Ending point: Your hotel at Kathmandu.
