What a wonderful day! Sandip made the tour of the Monkey Temple truly memorable. His knowledge of culture, art, religion and history was combined with a terrific sense of humor. I had a fabulous time!

Wonderful Tour! While in Nepal my boyfriend and I did the Kathmandu Durbar Square Tour with Amazing Kathmandu Tours. Our tour guide was Santosh and he was fantastic! We walked from Thamel to Kathmandu Durbar Square first stopping at Seto Machindranath Temple. We then walked through several interesting areas, learning about the history of Nepal and the various religions and cultures, eventually arriving at Kathmandu Dubar Square. Santosh gave us a tour of the Hanuman Dhoka (Old Royal Palace), and the Kumari Ghar in hopes of seeing the Kumari herself (she did not show herself that day). We also walked past Freak Street, saw Kaal Bhairab, and walked around the Handicraft market. On the way back, we stopped at the Naradevi Temple and the Vaisha Dev Shrine, also known as the toothache tree, where people nail rupees to the tree in hopes of curing their tooth pain. We were looking for a tour with a small group (we lucked out and it was only the two of us), where we could learn a lot about the area and the history and culture of Nepal. This tour was perfect, long enough to learn a lot, but short enough to so some other adventures that day. As I hoped, Santosh taught us a lot about things we would have never learned. I especially liked learning about the fish in Asan, the tradition of hanging up images of snakes, and the religious imagery. I highly recommend taking a tour with Amazing Kathmandu Tours while in Kathmandu!

Half Day tour in Kathmandu I had a wonderful experience touring Kathmandu with Frannkey, who guided me for around six hours across three remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. Despite the limited time, he planned the itinerary thoughtfully, ensuring that I could fully appreciate each location without feeling rushed. Besides, I love his clear and simple explanations of the history and cultural significance of each place. He made complex stories easy to understand, which greatly enhanced my appreciation of the sites. Overall, I highly recommend Frannkey to anyone looking for a well-organized and insightful tour in Kathmandu.

Essence of Nepal We all enjoyed very much Nimisha taking us around and explaining about Kathmandu culture, as well as the current social and political situation. Very kind and took care of all of us. 100% recommend!!!

amazing evening in Thamel I had really lovely evening with 2 amazing guides Anita and Nimisha. I was offered a welcome drink & momo in the nice restaurant on Tnamel & then we visited 2 other bars. We talked & laughed a lot & I had great time & learned a lot about Nepali culture & life in Kathmandu.

Incredible, insightful, engaging, and fun! I took a very well-curated and in-depth tour of Patan Square with Frankie, whose knowledge of the area and enthusiasm for sharing it were top-notch. He led a fairly diverse group, making sure that he accounted for each tour-member's individual interests. Also, it was marvelous to discuss Nepal's economics and foreign relations with someone who loves and understands history! 10/10 would do again.

A Wonderful Private Tour Full of Insight and Storytelling Besides of course the beautiful sites. I really appreciated the detailed explanations about the culture it added so much context to everything we saw. At the beggining we skipped the tourist crowds and explored local neighborhoods, which made the experience feel much more authentic. It wasn’t just random facts and dates , Santosh was a great storyteller. Highly recommended!

Si tratta di un aperitivo per donne organizzato da Anita, una giovane donna nepalese che lavora come guida e conosce molto bene il quartiere di Thamel. L’aperitivo prevede più tappe nei locali iconici del quartiere in modo tale da avere la possibilità di girare la sera per Thamel ed apprezzarne i colori, gli odori e la vivacità. Anita è molto cordiale e socievole e, da guida di trekking e da conoscitrice della città, è sempre pronta a rispondere alle curiosità delle turiste.

Fantastic tour in Kathmandu A very thorough, informative and friendly tour of Kathmandu's Swayambhu Mahachaitya (monkey temple). Santosh is very knowledgable and focuses the tour on areas that interest you. My tour ended up being 4 hours long as we disussed the sites at such length and Santosh had so many interesting stories to tell! As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe throughout the tour, and was even offered to be walked back to the starting point or supported in finding a taxi as we finished in the dark. I would definitely recommend this as a must for those visiting Kathmandu, especially if you have limited time.

An Outstanding Guide with Heart and Deep Knowledge We spent five wonderful hours with our guide Santosh yesterday. With his great knowledge and his open, warm-hearted personality, he guided us throughout the day. Santosh knows many fascinating stories about Hinduism and Buddhism and explains landmarks and religious rituals in a clear and engaging way. You can truly feel that he loves his job as a guide, and this shows in the high quality of his work. We would book a tour with him again without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend Santosh as a guide.

Amazing guide with abundant knowledgs; could not recommend him enough Perfect tour! Such a knowlegdable guide. Would really recommend doing this on your first day, so to get a proper introduction in nepali culture and religion. Helps a lot with seeinig sights afterwards! By the way would also have booked this trip on our last day, because he knows so much, it's truely an enrichment of your stay! 🙂 And btw: He can point out evers detail on a stoopa which is very fun for everything you visit!

Aanrader! Wij hadden een super fijne dag tijdens de safari. Onze gids was heel erg gepassioneerd, en wist echt heel goed waar we moesten kijken en vertelde ook nog eens heel interessante weetjes. Het is echt een ervaring om zo dicht bij de dieren te zijn. De tocht in de kano was dan ook de perfecte afsluiter!
